Congratulations to the instrumental solo/ensemble participants from last night's MSHSL small group festival! Out of the four sites we participated in, two of our students took home two of the prestigious "best in site" awards. Congrats to Senior Mitchell Holets (trumpet) and Sophomore Devann Harris (flute) for representing our school so well!

All of our students gave stellar SUPERIOR performances and judges commented afterwards how prepared these kids were! Thanks and congratulations to:

Attention all work experience students:

Your Final Report will be due to Mr. Willette on or before May 24th.

MCA TESTING SCHEDULE

Jr. High Testing:

                  Reading – during English class TODAY

                    Math – during math class Apr 23-27

       Science – during Science class Apr 30-May 4 (8th grade only)

10th  Grade Testing:

                  Reading – during English class Apr 23, 25-27

    Science – during beginning of Blocks A & C Apr 30-May 2; May 4

11th Grade Testing:

            Math – during Block B Apr 25-27​

The tests will be scheduled for Mon-Thu.  Fri will be a make-up day.  Actual testing time will be about 40 minutes/day.

 

FROM THE KITCHEN

This Friday will be the last morning the Ala Carte will be open at break time for the rest of the year.  

During lunchtime, all food and drink must be consumed in the lunchroom. Please do not bring food or drink in the hallway or outside to recess.

There is an electrician assistant position open for this summer.  If you are interested in becoming an electrician and want to know more about the position, please contact Mr. Paulson.

Searching for a service opportunity? Camp Invention is looking for high school students to work as "Leadership Interns" here in Chatfield. Camp Invention is a fun-filled week of engineering madness for elementary kids. This year, Camp Invention is June 18th-22nd. See Mrs. Conway for more information.

TRAP TEAM: in spite of the weather, we will be shooting TODAY starting at 6:30.  Plan to attend & dress appropriately.  Because this is our first night, we will have a lot to cover so please be prompt (recommend 6:15).

Camp Invention is a fun-filled week of engineering madness for elementary kids. This year, Camp Invention is June 18th-22nd. See Mrs. Conway for more information.

There is an electrician assistant position open for this summer.  If you are interested in becoming an electrician and want to know more about the position, please contact Mr. Paulson.

The Chatfield Fire Department has reviewed our fire lanes especially since there is a large amount of construction that is taking place.   The CFD is requiring that there is no parking between the pool and the west side of the school at any time, including special events, before, during and after school.  This entire area is part of the fire lane for the high school building.

The Library will soon have most of its books packed up in preparation for the big move and remodel.  If you are interested in checking out any particular book or books yet this school year, you should come in TODAY to get them.  Otherwise, you will be able to choose from the fewer books kept out for check-out.  All books will be due back in May.

The goals of the group would be to form several teams to cover things like: welcoming new students, connecting seniors with freshmen, helping teachers/students who've lost loved ones, helping students that are sick/hospitalized, and connecting with other schools that have had school tragedies. The group is a kindness group and encourages reaching out to others with kindness! Come to an informational meeting TOMORROW in the counseling office during 2nd SST/lunch.

The ACT for ALL JUNIORS and the ASVAB for all Sophomores is April 3rd. 

The Post Bulletin is looking to hire paper delivery people in Chatfield. Hours are 30-45 minutes per day, and pay over $100 a month. Please see Mrs. Olson for more information.

Searching for a service opportunity? Camp Invention is looking for high school students to work as "Leadership Interns" here in Chatfield. Camp Invention is a fun-filled week of engineering madness for elementary kids. This year, Camp Invention is June 18th-22nd. See Mrs. Conway for more information.

Diversity Council Meeting, TOMORROW March 21, 11:30am, in the Principal's Conference Room.  Agenda Items: Spring Activities and Next year's Planning.

Mrs. Gathje is looking for students in grades 9-12 who would like to judge an elementary school science fair the week of April 9-13.  If interested please let Mrs. Gathje know before the end of the day Thursday March 22.

The Library will soon have most of its books packed up in preparation for the big move and remodel.  If you are interested in checking out any particular book or books yet this school year, you should come in THIS WEEK to get them.  Otherwise, you will be able to choose from the fewer books kept out for check-out.  All books will be due back in May.

Juniors and Seniors:  If you plan to bring an out-of-town guest to Prom, please pick up a Guest Registration form in the high school front office.  They must be filled out completely and returned to the high school front office by Wednesday, April 25.

 REMINDER To All Students: On late start Wednesdays, you will be going to the gym and sitting in the first set of bleachers instead of sitting in the cafeteria, until you are released at 8:25.  The same rules will apply, students need to come in the gym and immediately find a place to sit down.

There is an electrician assistant position open for this summer.  If you are interested in becoming an electrician and want to know more about the position, please contact Mr. Paulson.

The program includes hands on experiences and information on career opportunities, leadership experience, life skills, citizenship, and character education. See Mrs. Olson for more information!

Seniors/PSEO students: If you are off D block and looking for something to do, the preschool is looking for a volunteer helper from 2:00 - 2:45 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. See Mrs. Olson if this would work for you!

 All Students: On late start Wednesdays, you will be going to the gym and sitting in the first set of bleachers instead of sitting in the cafeteria, until you are released at 8:25.  The same rules will apply, students need to come in the gym and immediately find a place to sit down.
