Juniors who want to go on a college visit to U of M on October 24th can sign up in the counseling office TODAY!

Art Club Students: Reminder there is no Art Club this week, but your permission slips are still due TODAY! Drop them by Ms. Potter's room and let her know what you want for lunch.

A lost and found table will be set up outside the front office TODAY.  Give it a glance, you might be surprised to find an item of yours on it.

Chosen Valley Care Center is looking for Nursing Assistants and are willing to train the right applicant. Please contact Cherie or Danielle at 867-4220.

HEADS UP:  its head lice season so please avoid sharing headwear or blankets.

Jr. High Knowledge Bowl: Our next practice is on Friday, October 26th at 7:29 a.m.

There will be a Halloween dance for 7th and 8th graders on Friday, October 26th from 7 p.m. until 9:59 p.m. in the Multi-purpose Room.  Appropriate costumes are welcomed and encouraged. Admission is $5.

Enhanced Driving Institute is offering a Drive'rs Ed class Oct 29–Nov 9. Information is available outside Patti Obey's office. Check EnhancedDrivingInstitute.com for details regarding making up missed classes.  Be sure to check before you register!

ACTIVITIES

"Gopher" Gating BBQ! A community tailgate party for Gopher football fans will be held TODAY beginning at 5:30pm.  Today's special will be pulled pork sandwiches.  Outside behind the multi-purpose gym.  Good will donations accepted.  All proceeds go to the junior class.  This is a non-school sponsored event.

 Reading the announcements first period after the Pledge is the responsibility of both Teachers and Students.  Students can remind the teachers to read the announcements.  The purpose of the announcements is to provide official notifications, and information and for students, teachers and staff and you are responsible for its contents.

Seniors and Juniors interested in a Business careers day with the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 13th should sign up with Mrs. Olson by the end of this week. The cost is $30 per student and includes a ticket to a Timberwolve's game on November 14th, 16th, or 18th. See Mrs. Olson with questions!​

Please get your U of MN Fall Invite field trip slip from Ms Fritz asap if you need it – There is an incorrect date on the slip – the Field trip is this Wed 10/10 – leave time 5:45am, bring money for lunch, back by 2:30pm.  Casual clothes and dress for the weather

10th and 11th graders: The PSAT/National Merit Qualifying test is Wed Oct 10 here at Chatfield. 10th graders can take it for practice for college exams/ACT/SAT, and 11th graders can take it to practice before the real SAT/ACT and to qualify for scholarships. The cost is $16. 10th and 11th graders: The PSAT/National Merit Qualifying test is October 10th here at Chatfield. 10th graders can take it for practice for college exams/ACT/SAT, and 11th graders can take it to practice before the real SAT/ACT and to qualify for scholarships. The cost is $16. Once accepted, Senior Mentors will meet with a group of freshmen once a month during lunch time to cover different topics. Mrs. Olson will work with you on each topic beforehand. Applications are in the counseling office and are due TODAY.

Juniors and Seniors: Chatfield will be attending a college Fair October 4th at RCTC! Hundreds of colleges will be available to talk to - sign up in the counseling office!

10th and 11th graders: The PSAT/National Merit Qualifying test is October 10th here at Chatfield. 10th graders can take it for practice for college exams/ACT/SAT, and 11th graders can take it to practice before the real SAT/ACT and to qualify for scholarships. The cost is $16. Sign up in the counseling office!

VOICE OF DEMOCRACY SCHOLARSHIP – Students 9 through 12 - stop in the Counseling Office (Room 102) for information/application.  Deadline is October 15.

There are still a few extra 2018 yearbooks available.  If you would like to purchase one they will be available until Friday 9/21 for $50.   See Mrs. DeBuhr if you are interested.    

Seniors – You will be voting on Wednesday, September 19th for your 2018 homecoming candidates. The voting will take place in your SSTs. You MUST be present to vote. The only exceptions are PSEO students and Work Experience students who do not go to SST. These students may vote on Tuesday or Wednesday any time in Mrs. Conway's room.

Enhanced Driving Institute is offering a Drive'rs Ed class in Chatfield, October 29th – November 9th.    Information is available in Patti Obey's office.   Please note:  If you have a conflict for one of the days, there are some make-up options.   Check EnhancedDrivingInstitute.com for details regarding making up missed classes.  Be sure to check before you register!

Applications are in the counseling office and are due next Wednesday, September 19th.

Attention Students: Please do not use the gym as a short cut when going to/from Phy Ed class.   

The front parking lot is for Seniors and Staff.

Starting Monday September 10 the kitchen will

  • Open at 7:45am to serve breakfast
  • Open at break time
  • Will be adding Ala Carte items to the lunch line for purchase. Ala Carte rules still apply:  
  1. Need to have a positive balance.
  2. May be blocked due to parental controls. 
  3. Items not allowed will be removed by cashier.

Juniors and Seniors interested in attending the Mayo Clinic Health Career Festival Tuesday October 9th, who are NOT in CIS Anat and Phys should see Mrs. Olson THIS WEEK to register!  For more information, see careerawareness.mayoclinic.org

 Yearbooks are in from last year.  You can pick your yearbook up from Mrs. DeBuhr before or after school or they will be delivered to your homeroom by the end of the week.  If you did not purchase a yearbook last year and would like to buy one now, we do have extras.  Bring a check to Mrs. DeBuhr for $50.00 made out to Chatfield High School. 

All sophomores will meet with Jostens - receive order forms for their Class Rings on Wednesday September 12 during their SST.
